IKEA: graphics made for the store.

I create custom graphics and templates for IKEA’s visual merchandising, interior design and sales teams. The work spans original artwork, adapting supplied brand assets, printing and vinyl application.

01 / CUSTOM ARTWORK

Drawn, printed, framed.

For these framed jerseys, I drew the graphics and printed them on polypropylene paper.

02 / CARPENTRY HANDOFF

A stencil another team could build from.

I created the stencils for the meerkat houses in this children’s display and handed them to carpentry to cut out.

My part: the meerkat-house stencils. Carpentry cut the pieces shown here.
03 / PRODUCTION SOLUTION

When the lettering wouldn’t stick.

THE PROBLEM

The kitchen-organizers wall called for cut vinyl lettering, but the small letters would not stick.

THE CHANGE

I printed the text on an adhesive-vinyl panel and matched its background color to the wall.

Kitchen organizers display with a printed information panel whose pale background is matched to the surrounding wall.

WORKING WITH THE STORE TEAMS

Different requests. A graphic that works in the space.

Visual merchandisers, interior designers and sales teams come to me for custom work. I create the templates and graphics they need, using supplied IKEA graphics where needed.
